Up to 35 painters may register for this event – but no later than August 15th. Artists will create artwork from September 10th through September 15th. They will submit one entry from their week of work for judging on September 16th. Judging will take place during the morning on September 17th by a judge selected by the Rock Arts School Foundation Board of Directors.
Awards:
· First prize – $500 plus an exhibition in the RSAF gallery during 2024
· Second prize – $250 plus a gift basket
· Third prize – $125 plus a gift basket
· People’s choice – $75 plus gift basket Art can be displayed on easels provided, or artists may use their own easels to display their work.
A Wet Sale and public Reception will be held on September 17th, from 4-7 pm. Tickets for the reception are $25.00 per person. Ticket includes live music by Stone’s Throw with Hors d’oeuvres, and Wine.
The event is hosted by Rock School Arts Foundation, the Town of Valdese Tourism Office, and Friends of the Valdese Rec.
