Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest

Registration Closes Oct 7

A Whole New Trailfest for 2026!

How far can you go? That part is up to you.

Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest is changing things up in 2026 with a brand-new 3-Hour, 6-Hour and 12-Hour Trail Challenge at Valdese Lakeside Park.

Instead of racing a set 5K or 10K distance, you’ll have a set amount of time — and one approximately 3-mile loop made up of two miles of trail and one mile of crushed-cinder greenway.

Then you decide what the day looks like.

Race it. Run it. Walk it. Hike it. Set a goal. Chase a distance. See how many loops you can do.

Want to see how many miles you can cover in three hours? Go for it.

Always wanted to complete a half marathon, marathon or 50K? Pick the time block that gives you the chance to reach that goal.

Want to hike farther than you ever have before? The 12-hour event gives you all day to keep moving.

There’s no pressure to be the fastest person on the course. Your challenge can simply be one more loop.

And because every loop brings you back through the start/finish area, you can create your own home base. Participants will have space for a 10×10 tent or table, with food and drinks available throughout the event. We’re also hoping to have live music from the pavilion stage to keep the energy going.

Rest. Refuel. Visit with friends. Head back out.

One loop at a time. One goal at a time.

Whether you come to compete for the most miles, tackle a distance that has always felt just out of reach, or simply find out how far your legs can carry you, Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest 2026 is your chance to try something different.

3 HOURS • 6 HOURS • 12 HOURS

YOUR PACE • YOUR DISTANCE • YOUR CHALLENGE

How many times will you say, “Okay…one more loop”?

Historical Data below from past runs….

5K route is a little more than 5K! Shown below.

Below is the 10K Route. The 10 Mile Route is the same with an extra loop around the Hollipop Mountain Bike Trail.
